This old postal card is an outreach from the American Express Company's Office notifying stakeholders that that they are in possession of some type of property belonging to the recipient of the card.

The fact that Dowagiac, Michigan, in the 1880s was a solid second-tier railroad hub in southwest Michigan was the catalyst for the existence of this postal card.

This postal card was postmarked in June of 1888 in Dowagiac, Cass County, Michigan, and sent there locally.

After the years the item could show some typical wear.
