On 6 February 1918 the Representation of the People Act received Royal Assent — a turning point that gave the vote to all men over 21 (and servicemen from 19) and, for the first time, to women over 30 who met the property rules. A century later, in 2018, The Royal Mint marked that centenary with this official UK 50p. Stephen Taylor's reverse brings the moment to life: women, soldiers and civilians queuing to vote for the first time.

The perfect gift for history lovers, suffrage / Votes for Women collectors, coin collectors, birthdays, anniversaries or Christmas — a meaningful little piece of British democracy.

✨ Condition: Uncirculated — this coin has never been in general circulation. Sourced directly from sealed Royal Mint stock and handled only during the decal application process. The coin face is clean and sharp with full mint lustre. Please keep in capsule to protect the decal from moisture and handling.

Please keep your coin inside its capsule at all times to protect the colour finish. Do not rub, wipe, clean or polish the coloured surface, and avoid prolonged heat, damp or direct sunlight.

Please note: The colour decal is applied for decorative purposes by FinderKeeperStore. The coin itself is a genuine Royal Mint issue. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, minor variations may occur.

This is a genuine UK 50p and remains legal tender, but is intended as a coloured collector's keepsake rather than for spending.
