KitchenAid KSB1575OB 5-Speed 60 Oz. Diamond Heavy Duty Blender

Bought it new and used it twice, control panel just started blinking during the second use would not work anymore. All I did was make a smoothie, I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Control panel still lights up and blinks when you plug it in but nothing else happens. I looked online for information and it said there's thermal fuse inside that you need to replace that sounded like something that was fitted for somebody with more knowledge of that type of stuff than me. No sound from the motor everything spins freely. Kitchenaid customer service wouldn't help, said it's too old. Unfortunately it was packed away for years and forgotten or maybe I would have gotten warranty honored.
