Precaution

  1. Before operation, confirm that both ends of the boring machine are firmly supported without looseness and that the boring bar shows no obvious deformation. Never start end‑turning machining unless the supports are fully locked.
  2. Operators must wear safety goggles and dust masks. Install safety warning barriers around the working area. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from entering the 1‑meter machining radius to avoid injuries from flying metal chips.
  3. Do not touch rotating components or cutting surfaces with hands during machining. Measurement and cleaning shall be carried out only after the equipment has come to a complete stop and the power supply has been disconnected.
  4. Strictly limit the maximum cutting depth to no more than 2 mm. Overloaded operation is prohibited to prevent machine failures such as spindle stalling, slide‑table deformation, or boring bar bending.
  5. Inspect the tension of the feed drive chain before each use. Apply grease promptly if the chain lacks lubrication. For long‑term storage, detach the chain, clean it thoroughly, and soak it in anti‑rust oil for preservation.
  6. In case of abnormal vibration or noise during machining, press the emergency stop button immediately, cut off the power supply, and troubleshoot the fault. Restarting is forbidden until the issue is completely resolved.
  7. Do not use the attachment to machine workpieces harder than the cutting blade, so as to prevent blade chipping and excessive wear of the slide guide rails.
  8. For daily storage, place the attachment in a dry, well‑ventilated environment to prevent guide‑rail corrosion and dust accumulation on precision transmission parts. Perform full cleaning and lubrication of the sliding guide rails and lead screws after every 10 uses.

Operation Method

  1. 1. Preparation Work
    After completing the boring process and verifying that the inner hole meets precision requirements, stop the spindle rotation and cut off the main power supply. Clean away chips and grease from the boring bar surface, and confirm that the bar has no axial play.
  2. 2. Installation of End Turning Attachment
    Align the central mounting base of the attachment with the positioning groove of the 60 mm boring bar and push it into place. Tighten the radial fixing bolts to prevent relative sliding. Install the radial feed slide table and connect the feed drive chain. Verify that the slide table moves smoothly without jamming throughout the full stroke.

    Select the appropriate blade based on the material and precision requirements of the end face. Mount the turning tool onto the tool post, adjust the tool tip height to match the boring bar center, and secure the tool fixing screw. Rotate the boring bar manually for one full revolution to confirm no collision or interference between the tool and the workpiece.

    Move the slide table to let the tool tip lightly contact the end face, and record the initial scale. Retract the tool and set a cutting depth of 0.1 mm.     Complete end‑face turning with stock allocation: 2–3 mm single‑side allowance for rough machining and 0.1–0.3 mm for finish machining. Remove chips in real time during processing to prevent iron scraps from scratching the finished surface.
