Original vintage black-and-white photograph showing a professional movie-theater projection booth equipped with two Simplex XL 35mm motion-picture projectors and associated sound equipment. The Simplex XL succeeded the earlier E-7 generation and entered use around 1949–1950, becoming one of the standard American theatrical projection systems of the postwar era.

The pedestal/base cabinets are clearly marked “Simplex Heavy Duty.” The projectors appear consistent with Simplex XL 35mm projectors, and the soundheads have been identified as Simplex SH1000 units. The photograph also shows the associated film reels, projection mechanisms and booth equipment in unusually clear detail.

A particularly strong equipment-focused image, with both projectors shown together amid a dense arrangement of film reels, sound equipment, mechanisms and projection-booth hardware. The photograph offers an unusually detailed period view of professional 35mm motion-picture exhibition technology and would appeal to collectors of vintage cinema equipment, projection booths, projectionist memorabilia, 35mm film history and theater history.

The specific theater and location are unidentified.

A second original vintage photograph showing another view of a closely related projection-booth setup is also currently available separately in my store.

Approx. 3.75 x 4.75 inches.

The reverse has extensive old mounting/adhesive residue and staining, suggesting the photograph was formerly mounted. Please review all photographs for complete condition.
