Product Overview

The uConsole Multi-Function Expansion Board is a powerful multi-function expansion board designed to enhance the capabilities of your uConsole device. This expansion board integrates multiple functions, including RTL-SDR, LoRa, GPS, RTC, and USB Hub, making it an essential tool for developers, hobbyists, and professionals.

RTL-SDR Function

Tuner: Utilizes RTL2832U and R860 tuners.
Frequency Range: Supports a wide frequency range from 100KHz to 1.74GHz.
Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator
(TCXO): Provides precise tuning with almost zero temperature drift.
5V Bias Tee: This enables the RTL-SDR to power low-noise amplifiers (such as LNA4ALL, HABAMP, RTL-SDR Blog ADS-B LNA) and active antennas via coaxial cable. The function can be enabled through software. The status of the bias tee power supply can be indicated by the LED indicator on the side.
HF Direct Sampling Mode: Listen to 100kHz - 28.8MHz through direct sampling. It is ideal for Software Defined Radio (SDR) applications, including radio scanning, spectrum analysis, and signal decoding.

LoRa/Meshtastic Function

Frequency Band: Operates in the 860 - 960MHz frequency band.
Output Power: Maximum output power is 22dbm.
TCXO: Offers precise tuning with almost no temperature drift.

Application: Ready to use out of the box and supports Meshtastic. It is highly suitable for long-range, low-power communication projects such as IoT devices, remote sensors, and wireless networks.

GPS Function

Multi-Mode Support: Compatible with GPS, BDS, and GNSS satellite navigation systems.
Antenna Options: Supports both active and passive GPS antennas.
Application: Enhances location tracking and navigation capabilities for various applications, including unmanned aerial vehicles, vehicles, and outdoor activities.

RTC (Real-Time Clock) Function

Chip: Uses the PCF85063A chip.
Battery: Uses a CR1220 battery.
Function: Ensures continuous timing. It is crucial for time-sensitive applications such as data logging, scheduling, and time-stamping.
Application: Provides accurate real-time clock functionality, addressing the lack of RTC in the uConsole.
