Vintage POST 1281 Wooden Scale Ruler U.S. STD Germany Full Size 32 & 50

Vintage Frederick Post Co. model 1281 wooden scale ruler. Marked POST 1281 U.S.STD. GERMANY. One side labeled FULL SIZE-32, the other FULL SIZE-50. Light wood body with white graduated edge.  

It’s a drafting / scale ruler, not a regular carpenter’s stick.

Frederick Post sold these as U.S. Standard architect’s and engineer’s scales. 

The dual numbering you see is the classic way those scales are laid out so you can read from either end.

Used for reading and drawing blueprints, plans, and maps at a set ratio.
