I am selling off some of my stash of unbuilt model airplane kits. Up for auction is Monogram #7575, which is their 1/48 scale Douglas TBD-1 Devastator kit from 1974. The kit is complete with a newer set of substitute decals and assembly instruction sheet. The box is in fair condition, it has been taped in a couple places, it has a water stain on one corner, and shows a lot of shelf wear. The plastic is complete, still sealed in its original plastic bag and all but a couple pieces are still on the sprue. The clear sprue is loose in the box(that’s the way Monogram used to do it), but I will have that in a separate bag. The instruction sheet is in very good/excellent condition, there is some yellowing on the exposed top, but otherwise there are no tears, stains, marks or writing on it. The substitute decal sheet comes from their 2004 issue and is in excellent condition and comes with photocopied painting and descaling instructions from that kit. The decal sheet has markings for 2 aircraft, both from VT-6, aboard the USS Enterprise, First TBD-1 #0323 coded 6-T-2, from 1939 in silver dope with yellow wings, blue tail and red cowl and wing stripes, Second TBD-1 #1512, also coded 6-T-2, from from February 1942, in blue gray over light gray. Refer to photos and feel free to ask any questions. I do allow free local pickup(in Tucson and Sedona), and if you win multiple auctions/purchases I will combine shipping. Remember in many locations in the US eBay will collect sales tax on this item.
