I was fortunate recently to be able to acquire a good collection of antique & vintage sterling silver cycling prize fob medals dating from the 1890s up to the 1960s. I am now putting these medals up for auction at very reasonable starting prices (ofter below the sterling silver scrap price) but with a Buy it Now option for anyone who does not wish to wait.

This example is:

A Victorian sterling silver cycling medal/badge from the 1890s.

The front of the medal has an engraved image of a talbot dog with a star above and an image of a castle on the top. An applied band is embossed:

"TALBOT ROVERS C.C."

The obverse is not engraved:

Sterling Silver Medal: Weight: 11.2 gm. Width: 35 mm. Height: 40 mm. Hall Mark: Birmingham 1890. Maker's Mark: Vaughton & Sons.

Summary: As can be seen from the photos this is an attractive & collectable antique sterling silver cycling medal. Good luck!

NOTE: Please see my other listings of sterling silver cycling medals. If more than one medal is purchased please wait until you receive an invoice before paying as I am happy to combine postage.
