The document appears to have been produced during the British Raj and may be associated with legal proceedings or official administration in the Madras Presidency. Thomas De La Rue founded the famous British security printing firm, which printed stamps, banknotes, revenue papers and other secure documents throughout the British Empire. The company also played a major role in establishing the India Security Press at Nashik in the 1920s.
Condition
