• Not as aggressive as other sharpening stones.
• Leaves uniform finish to edge of tool.
• For applications including honing, reshaping, die cleaning and gear deburring. Also recommended for sharpening of knives, plane blades, carving gouges/chisels and any cutting tool with a concave edge.
• By using a slip stone that matches the profile of the tool being sharpened, it is less likely that the edge will lose its original shape over time.
• Lubricate or pre-soaking is advisable.
• For sharpening dull tools to give a keen lasting edge.
