This is a 1931 Brazil 1000 Réis (1 Mil-Réis) circulation coin

KM# 525, struck in aluminum-bronze. 

The design shows the seated allegorical figure of Abundance with a cornucopia and the Southern Cross, surrounded by 21 stars; the other side has 1000 RÉIS within coffee and cotton branches. 

The type was issued from 1924–1931. 

Standard specifications are approximately 8 g, 27 mm, aluminum-bronze.

This example is heavily circulated, with substantial high-point wear, scratches/marks.
