Righto, here goes.  We bought this vintage organ for our keyboardist Alan - our band The Sitting Tenants played vintage power-pop & this organ was right up our street.  Being a bit lazy, we never got round to using this organ, instead using lightweight digital keyboards, a cop out but good for the back as we haven't been able to afford roadies for years.  It needed a proper overhaul & never got properly used & sat in our rehearsal space for years, unplayed.  

Our band finished in June, so we have sold off of our gear & 2 of the lads now simply do acoustic gigs as a duo, wot with being a bit old to keep doing garage rock etc 😪 so, a final album was recorded, a final gig at The Cavern was played & we called it a day.

Anyway, we hooked the organ out the other day & fired it up.  The speaker worked & seemed well, the spring reverb didn't work, the vibrato did & the pedal showed signs of life, some keys worked, some of the voices worked, the valves glowed.  The organ was far from playable, but seems like a really good project for someone that knows what they are doing.  Ideally our old organist Alan should be listing this, but although a fine musician, he is a technical ignoramus, so it fell to me as a humble singer & harmonica player to do the honours.  It seems the stand is missing it's shelf part - we have the legs only - see pictures.

This Dutch combo organ that turns up all over psych, library music, lo-fi and soundtrack work. 49 keys, five vox voice tabs, 8/4/2 footages, single-finger chord section, vibrato and spring reverb, onboard amp and speakers, DIN connection panel on the underside. (all connectivity in photos)Anyone looking at this listing probably already knows the appeal of the Philicorda: a wonderfully distinctive 1960s/70s organ sound, with masses of vintage character.

 If you search YouTube for Philicorda GM751 there is at least one video of it being played (not this actual one of course but the same model).

See photos/video - it turns on, after it warms up many keys play, not all voices work, many crackles etc as is very dusty inside  - needs complete overhaul as described below. The vibrato also appears to work as it should.  The keys all seem to return correctly and none of them stick. 

It has been stored indoors in our rehearsal space, so although very dusty, it has NOT been stored in damp conditions. Cosmetically, the wooden casings on organ & speaker cab has light age-related marks but is decent.This would make an excellent restoration project, as it is complete & working to a degree.
