A hand-painted porcelain figurine of a Eurasian Jay by Karl Ens of Volkstedt, Germany. The bird is modelled perched on a white oak-leaf base, with detailed blue crest, black facial markings, pinkish-brown body plumage, and distinctive blue-and-black barred wing coverts. The underside bears the blue underglaze Karl Ens mark together with the impressed model number 7098. Produced after 1945.
