A cranberry glass caster with a hallmarked sterling silver pierced lid. The glass body is a tapering octagonal form in deep ruby-red glass. The silver cap screws onto the neck and is pierced with small dispensing holes. The lid is stamped with a maker’s mark CL together with the lion passant, leopard’s head and date letter for London 1925.

Good overall condition for age. The glass body appears complete with no cracks visible in the photographs. The silver lid shows surface scratches, light wear and small irregularities around the piercing holes, consistent with use. The screw fitting seats on the glass neck.
