Up for auction are blueprint Master Plan COPIES of the SS Alabama, an icebreaker and passenger steamer constructed at the Manitowoc Dry Dock in 1909.  Operated on the Great Lakes.  The sheets in this set are as acquired from an estate auction. These copies are believed (but not guaranteed) to have been made from an original set on a blue print copier and used for review and approval by individuals/companies financing the construction of the vessel.  They are not detailed production plans. This icebreaker/passenger was built by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company by the Great Lakes Shipbuilders Guild in 1909. First Owner was Goodrich Transit Co.
