The 1/12 Ecu, also known as the Luigino, was a silver coin minted in 1662 under the authority of Flavio Chigi, the legate of Avignon, during the papacy of Alexander VII. These coins were primarily used for trade with the Levant and were valued at 5 sols. The obverse features a bust of Flavio Chigi, while the reverse displays a crowned shield of the Pope with the inscription "EX MONTIBVS PAX ORIETVR" (meaning "From the mountains, peace will arise").

This coin was part of the Papal States' currency system and was minted in Avignon, France, which was under papal control at the time.
