A first edition, two volume set of Hugh Noel Williams' 'The Women Bonapartes...', published in London, 1908.

8vo, two volumes, uniformly bound in period double gilt ruled half blue calf by Bickers & Son Ltd, spines with five dot rolled raised bands, compartments ornately gilt decorated and lettered, upper page edges richly gilt. Period marbled endpapers, small binders stamp at head of upper fe. Measuring approx 15cm by 22cm. 


 The contents of both volumes are complete, meeting collation: xviii, [2], 376; xix, [1], 406, [2]pp.including an index, with all illustrations present as called for on lists.. 
                                                                         
Condition: The bindings are holding firmly and in very good condition, lightly rubbed to surfaces from handling, minor abrasion to corners of volume two, spines sunned. Contents are holding firmly and in very good crisp and clean condition, lightly toned with some occasional minor foxing, very small portion of loss to lower outside corners of final fifty leaves in volume two. No inscriptions or labels.

  • Our recommended services for overseas postage are International Signed for, (Royal Mail) or Parcelforce (UK couriers): These are all tracked and fully insured. 
  • We will ensure that all items sold are packed and distributed securely and professionally. We will respond to any comments or queries as quickly as possible. When possible we always combine postage on multiple items purchased. Prices charged will depend on combined weight and size after being securely packed. Items up to 5kg and a maximum size of 90cms (hxwxd) and no longer than 60cms can be sent via Royal Mail using the Printed Paper service. Items larger and heavier than this have to be sent via courier service.
  • We offer a multi-ship service and can hold items until larger consignments can be sent. This helps reduce postage costs greatly, especially for overseas buyers. If buying more than one item, please allow us to invoice you before paying as we will combine the items to give you the cheapest Royal Mail or international service price.
