A beautiful puka shell necklace featuring a classic retro surf boom aesthetic.
Unlike modern mass-produced replicas that use perfectly rounded, uniform machine-cut discs, this piece is crafted from natural, organic chipped shells. Each piece features unique edges, varying thicknesses, and a beautiful matte, beach-tumbled texture that gives it an unmistakable bohemian look.

Condition & Provenance:
This item was found in a local charity shop. While the natural shell variation and the aged patina on the metal barrel clasp heavily resemble authentic 1970s construction, I am not a jewelry expert and cannot guarantee the exact decade of manufacture.
The shells are completely intact. The metal clasp and accent beads show significant aged patina, including surface pitting and wear to the silver plating, giving it great character. The screw mechanism functions securely. Please review all close-up photos carefully to inspect the hardware and textures to make your own determination.
