This is a PAPER sewing pattern for an amazing 1900s full-coverage bust supporter or reducer. The "bra" closes at center front with a laced-up eyelet closure. The pattern instructions mention the option of adding boning at center front edges if more support is desired. This supporter edges may be finished with insertion or lace trim or a narrow hemmed edge. The corset illustrated is not included. You can find our corset sewing patterns here. The original pattern comes from circa 1908 before these were called brassières. This style persisted well into the late 1910s. SIZING INFO: The pattern comes with several sizes included from a 32"- 46" Bust. Patterns from this era didn't have cup measurements. Instead, they used the full over-bust measurement (rather than your under-bust as in most modern bras). 2 pages of this paper pattern will need to be taped together before sewing. Difficulty level: ADVANCED. We do not recommend this pattern for beginners. if you are at an ambitious intermediate skill level, this is a great pattern to challenge and advance your skills. The instructions are in English. For an ornamental version of this pattern, sew it in delicate lace, silk, fine muslin or voile.
