A Pair of Attractive Georgian Silver Tone Sugar Tongs / Sugar Nips with Lion Passant

A pair of sugar tongs marked to the inside of both handles with a lion passant and an undistinguishable sponsors mark.

Hallmarking Exemptions state Pre-1950 items can be described and sold as precious metal without a full hallmark, if the seller can prove that it is of minimum fineness and was manufactured before 1950. This piece does have a lion passant to indicate sterling silver and will date to the 18th century but I cannot definitively prove this is sterling silver so please satisfy yourself before purchasing.

Condition: In a really good used condition, the odd small light mark, lion passants are clear but the sponsors marks are difficult to read so I cannot establish maker.

Returns - As a business seller we accept returns from UK buyers up to 30 days from date of delivery. Please use the Ebay return process to handle the return and please send the item back in the original packaging. We do not accept returns if the item has been changed/modified in any material way by the buyer, e.g. Polished or Washed.
