This is a vintage Spanish folding hand fan, likely dating from the mid-20th century (c. 1960s). It is made of lacquered wood and fabric possibly silk.

It is profusely decorated with a romantic Rococo image of a seated couple he wearing blue period costume and she a lavender dress against a woodland setting.To the side is a sailing boat in the distance .The fan has gold painted scrollwork and a frieze of contrasting flowers at the top,of each stick possibly on silk.

To the back of the fan there are pierced motifs on a plain ground

Condition is very good.The only “issue” is for light fraying to the material at the top.These are minor save for a couple which have a little more fraying.
