The collection features official U.S. postage stamps on cacheted envelopes with First Day of Issue cancellations. Subjects represented include American history, Bernardo de Gálvez and the Revolutionary era, Native American/Indian art, Northwest Coast culture, organized labor, Whitney M. Young, the American Red Cross, Edna St. Vincent Millay, flowers, Christmas traditions, wildlife habitat conservation, Yosemite and the Everglades, mechanical banks, and other aspects of American cultural and natural heritage.

Examples visible include issues from 1978, 1980 and 1981, with many covers accompanied by substantial Reader’s Digest illustrated background pages. The album also includes its Reader’s Digest certificate of authenticity.

Condition: Overall Very Fine collectible condition based on the photographs. First Day Covers remain mounted/protected on their original album pages. Pages show normal age/storage wear, including some toning or discoloration, and the binder has expected exterior/edge wear. Plastic cover sleeves show reflections and possible age-related waviness. Collection has not been individually removed or inspected; please use photographs for exact contents and condition.
