This Exquisite Antique Art Nouveau high-relief cast bronze lion change tray/card receiver features a detailed sculptural landscape scene with a lion inspecting a turtle or lizard. Designed with High-relief roaring and crouching lion in a stylized natural landscape with a tree background and an asymmetrical, gently undulating rim.

Such an objects frequently utilized during the late 19th to early 20th century as a desktop change, pin, or calling-card tray (or cigar/ash tray). Made of heavy solid cast metal, often exhibiting a warm patina with subtle verdigris highlights in the recessed areas.
