The PD Racing TK10 V3 EXB Pink edition is the latest Version 3 evolution of the 1:10th scale TK10 brushless monster truck. Built as a fast and tough 4WD bashing platform, the V3 receives a number of worthwhile upgrades over the previous version including longer 130mm oil-filled shock absorbers, revised front and rear body supports, stronger external bumpers, upgraded tyres and improved drive shafts. With the recommended 4S LiPo setup the TK10 V3 is capable of speeds up to 88km/h.
Power comes from a large 3670 size 1950KV brushless motor paired with a 120amp brushless electronic speed controller. The ESC incorporates a gyro system to help keep the truck stable under hard acceleration and across loose surfaces, whilst also supporting the use of an external receiver. Steering is handled by a powerful 35KG coreless servo for fast and positive control of the large front wheels.
The Version 3 chassis has been revised to make better use of its power off road. The oil-filled shock absorbers have been extended to 130mm, 10mm longer than the previous design, increasing suspension travel and improving damping over rough terrain. The front and rear body support sections have also been lengthened whilst the redesigned external bumpers offer additional protection during harder impacts. Nylon body-post gaskets have been added to improve body mounting stability and help reduce damage caused by vibration and repeated impacts.
Large 145mm herringbone-pattern tyres provide plenty of ground clearance and have been updated with a revised rubber compound for improved grip and wear resistance. The drivetrain has also received upgraded drive shaft material, with 6061-T6 aluminium alloy used in the drive shaft specification. Combined with its 4WD transmission and 7.5cm of ground clearance, the TK10 V3 is designed for grass, dirt, gravel and general off-road bashing.
