Mid‑20th‑century Lincoln National Life Insurance Company promotional souvenir (c. 1940s–1950s), featuring a genuine Civil War Minie ball sealed in acrylic.

This is an old minie ball bullet from the American Civil war and is encased in a perspex or other type of plastic cube. It appears to have been some sort of promotion by the Lincoln Insurance company.

There are wear marks to the casing, this was probably used as a paperweight or desk trinket.

The encasement measures approx 3 1/4" square by 1" thick or 83mm x 25mm
