This Banknote is in original porch envelope uncirculated (UNC) condition and with serial no. (SC981249) and is issued by

Order of the Board of Directors, Hong Kong on January 1, 2009 (香港 二〇〇九年一月一日).

 

This banknote bears black, green, yellow, blue and reddish multicolored underprint.

 

The obverse depicts a Satellite image background of Victoria Harbor. The Standard Chartered Bank Corporate (香港渣打銀行公司) and Serial no. (SC981249) at left. Lettering: The Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (渣打銀行香港有限公司), Promises to pay the bearer on demand at its office here (憑票即付 港幣壹佰伍拾圓) by order of the Court of Directors (承董事會命) Hong Kong on January 1, 2009 (二〇〇九年一月一日) and Signatures of Chief Finical Officer and Chief Executive Officer at the center. Two denominations in Arabic numerals (150) marked at the upper ;eft corner and at the right of design. The watermark of logo Standard Chartered Bank and the number 150 over the Lettering in the middle.

 

The reverse depicts demonstrates the History of Hong Kong through iconic images of people from all walks of life taking in the view of the Victoria Harbor from the peak; a policeman, a mother ad her child in a traditional back carrier, a bird fancier, a worker, a woman with a parasol, a businessman on his mobile phone, and a schoolboy pointing at a hawk. These images demonstrate how the people of Hong Kong have contributed to the city’s success through the past 150 years.
