The Eurotherm 955DBR42 (also referenced as 955D-8R42) is a 590 DRV Digital Series DC drive, corresponding to catalog configuration 590S/0700/9/1/1/00. This drive is also marketed and supported under the Parker SSD and Invensys Eurotherm Drives brand names. Refer to manufacturer documentation to confirm compatibility with your specific application.

This unit is a non-regenerative (single-quadrant, single thyristor bridge) DC drive rated for 40 HP at 460V DC output. It accepts a 3-phase, 460/230V AC ±10% main supply at 50/60 Hz with a maximum input current of 57A. Maximum armature output is 500/240V DC at 70A; field output is 300/150V DC at 10A. An auxiliary supply output of 120/115V AC, 1-phase, 0.75A is also provided.

Control is handled by a 16-bit microprocessor with software-configurable control circuitry. The drive provides digital speed and torque loop processing with analog and digital I/O terminals, and supports serial communication for computer interfacing. Full transient and overload protection is included. The drive is designed for panel or enclosure mounting with adequate air circulation maintained around the unit.
