Oratio Dominica, or the Lord’s Prayer in above 100 languages, original book from 1713.

Some catalogues say this is by Frederick Lippitt and published by Dan Brown. The title page says it’s the latest edition and more complete than earlier versions. All editions seem rare.

The book includes the Lord’s Prayer in over 100 languages, including many non-Latin scripts, all hand-set in type, of course.

There is also included an INSERT which i have also photographed, dated 1759, entitled “Orbis erudito literatura a charactere samaritico deducta]. Eduardi Bernardi ... Orbis erudito literatura a charactere samaritico deducta, & ab ipso edit. A.D. 1689 ... Tabulam hanc a se restauratam, et supplementis quibusdam egregijs...

Photographs of the insert say (insert) on them. There is also a short video showing one page of the insert.

This FABULOUS INSERT appears to be fairly rare: if you find one for sale let me know! It obviously was not originally part of this book, but it was in it when i bought it, so i have kept them together, in case they are in love. It may have been taken from Bernardi’s “Abundantissimum cornucopiae linguae Latinae et Germanicae” as that seems to have a similar table in at least some editions.
