This single-ended cylinder features a 1-1/4" oval piston bore and a 6" stroke, with a 3/8-24 UNF male-threaded piston rod and 1/8" NPT pneumatic port connections. The oval piston design provides built-in anti-rotation protection with a torsional backlash of +/- 0.8°. The cylinder includes a built-in magnet for proximity-sensor-based position sensing, and elastic cushioning rings at both ends. Operating pressure range is 14.5 to 145 PSI (1 to 10 bar). Theoretical output force at 87 PSI (6 bar) is 483 N advancing and 415 N retracting.

The DZF series is engineered for high packing density in block-mounting assemblies where an extremely flat profile is required. Lubricated operation is possible, but once lubricated operation must be maintained continuously. The cylinder is compatible with Festo SMT-8 and SME-8 series proximity sensors for position detection; when using SME-8 sensors with a 1-1/4" bore cylinder mounted to a ferritic surface, a minimum clearance of 2.5" to the ferritic component must be maintained.
