The Yugoslav Navy (abbreviated JRM JNA) was a form of the Yugoslav People's Army, whose purpose was to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the SFR Yugoslavia independently and in cooperation with other types and branches of the armed forces of the SFRJ on the Adriatic, navigable rivers and lakes.

Its main tasks were the defense of the coast, islands and coastal seas, navigable rivers and lakes, support of land armies and territorial defense forces in combat operations along the coastal belt and river courses, maintaining supremacy in its own coastal sea and preventing aggressors from establishing it in the Adriatic.

It ceased to exist in 1992, entered the SFRY, or proclaimed the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Serbia and Montenegro established the Navy of the SR Yugoslavia, while Croatia retained only part of the ships and formed the Navy of Croatia on the basis of this.
