This has been in my collection for several years, unusual right sleeve 101st airborne patch, The "former combat unit" patch, or Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Former Wartime Service (SSI-FWTS), is worn on the right sleeve, The combat patch signifies the unit the soldier was assigned to while in a designated combat zone, you see a lot of the patches on the right sleeves for the 101st facing backwards so should have been a left sleeve patch, don't know if this is an official issue or a private purchase, in great condition, please see all photos .........................
