A pair of Dragon Fire Dogs Andirons, Iron/Steel Hand Made Blacksmith Arts & Crafts.

Here is a fabulous pair of Dragon Fire Dogs. They are absolutely stunning!

Dimensions (of each individual dragon):

Overall length: 23” approx.

Height: 10” approx.

Width: 7” approx.

Internal length (for fire basket front to back): 15” approx.

Weight: 3.35 kilos (each dragon).

Hand made by an artist blacksmith, they just ooze class and look fantastic either side of a log burner.

They could also be used to hold a fire basket but it couldn’t be more the man 15” from front to back (see last image).

Whichever way you choose to display them they are going to look great!

Only downside is that the fork of one of the dragon’s tails has been broken off. It must have happened long before I acquired them but to me it doesn’t affect their look, I still absolutely love them.

As far as age goes, I have no idea. I’d guess vintage rather than antique but I’m no expert.

Likewise I can’t be sure of the metal but I’d say steel rather than iron due to the nature of the welds? Again though, I’m no expert.

They’d be perfect in a period of themed fireplace and equally at home as contrasting pieces in more modern surroundings.
