For sale is this absolutely beautiful and highly desirable Pioneer SA-608 Stereo Integrated Amplifier with Moving Magnet (MM) Phono Stage for your turntable. Produced from 1979 to 1980 as part of Pioneer's iconic "Blue Line" series, it delivers 45 watts per channel into 8 ohms and features the distinctive fluorescent (Fluoroscan) power output display meters. Serial Number: AB 9503651F

It is in fully working and excellent condition, showing just the minimal signs of previous use with just the odd light marks and scratches as expected with any used item. Notable scratches is one just to the right of the power on switch, and another to the right of the Bass control knob (see photos). However they are not highly visible without close inspection.

Serviced prior to sale with all the pots, switches and contacts cleaned, and bias adjusted, so its crackle free and sounds fantastic.

Its also been upgraded with four Burr-Brown OPA604AP Op-Amps which replace the old Toshiba TA7136 Op-Amps in both the Equaliser and Tone Control sections. This offers vastly superior audio performance, lower harmonic distortion, a higher slew rate and a wider gain-bandwidth compared to the original TA7136.

It comes supplied with a reprinted copy of the owners manual and fitted power lead.
