The Wampler Mini Ego 76 Compressor FET Studio Style Pedal is Brian Wampler’s personal tribute to the iconic studio compressor that has shaped the fabric of music over the decades and is now available in a miniature format.
Giving you legendary studio grade compression on your pedalboard, it transcends the conventional role of a pedal compressor, going beyond merely squishing your signal to actually enriching and elevating your sound. Fuelled by FET based (field effect transistor) technology, the pedal has studio like Attack and Release controls via two mini dip switches, a Parallel Clean Blend knob, a Compression level knob and an overall effect Level. Each element is carefully designed to encapsulate the spirit of the iconic 1176 Peak Limiter studio compressor, giving a touch of that magic to your pedalboard. This mini footprint version enables you to fit this essential effect pedal on the smallest of rigs.
The Tone control adds just the right amount of brightness to capture the original unit's famed energy, while the Attack and Release knobs give you command over crucial compression parameters that are usually only found in dedicated studio gear. Adding a layer of versatility to the Ego 76 is the inclusion of the Parallel Clean Blend control, a feature derived from classic studio techniques. This technique, often employed to maintain control over levels and sweeten parts without sacrificing dynamics, allows you to seamlessly blend your original tone back in. The result is a perfect equilibrium between compression and the natural voice of your guitar, breathing life into your playing.
The pedal boasts is powered by a 9 V DC power supply, do not exceed 9 V DC as this will void the warranty. Built and designed in the USA, the Wampler Mini Ego 76 Compressor FET Studio Style Pedal will add studio grade compression to your rig.
