Vintage Cast Iron Fire Back Plate Passent Lion of England 17 Kg HEAVY

Here is a 1995, Kingsworthy Co. cast iron fire back or heat reflector.

It is embossed with the ‘Passent’ Lion of England willing think is also referred to as the ‘Smiling Lion’.

It also has a fleur-de-lis emblem above, a Tudor Rose and I think a Scottish thistle.

The weight is a bit under 17 kilos.

Height: 13.5”

Overall width: 21.5”

The width at the bottom if you wanted to slide it into a compatible fire basket is: 20.5” (approx).

Thickness at the bottom is approximately 1/2” (12mm).

You can also lean it against the wall or drill it and mount it onto the wall behind an open fire.

No cracks and generally, aside from a bit of rust over the front, it’s in great condition.
