Two antique porcelain footed open salt cellars likely dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (circa 1890–1920). Beautifully hand painted with a pale blue glazed interior, delicate hand-painted floral borders, a pedestal base, and fine gold-gilded rims was incredibly popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The "BH" shield mark on the bottom likely represents Blakeman & Henderson (B&H), a prominent American decorating studio operated out of New York around 1890 to 1910. They imported fine white porcelain "blanks" directly from Limoges, France, hand-painted them with romantic flora and sold them under their name.
