These are SiriusHair replacement components designed as exact-fitting replacements for compatible straighteners originally fitted with 70 Ohm heater elements.

Supplied as a matched pair of two heater elements.

IMPORTANT – Check Your Existing Heaters Before Ordering

Cloud Nine used different heater configurations during production, and straighteners that appear externally identical may contain either 70 Ohm or 160 Ohm heaters.

You cannot reliably identify the heater resistance from the model number or appearance of the straighteners alone.

The appliance must be opened and the resistance of the existing heater elements checked before ordering.

These heaters are 70 Ohm only. They must not be used to replace 160 Ohm heaters.

These heaters are NOT suitable for Cloud Nine Touch, Touch Plus or other touch-controlled models.

Different Heater & Thermal Fuse Arrangements

Cloud Nine changed the internal heater and thermal-fuse arrangement during production.

Some earlier appliances have the heater and thermal fuse connected in series, while some later versions use a separate heater and thermal fuse arrangement.

This listing is for the ceramic heater elements only.

If your appliance requires a heater with an attached thermal fuse, please select the appropriate SiriusHair heater and thermal-fuse assembly instead.

Temperature Calibration – Important

Replacing the heaters does not complete the repair. The operating temperature must be checked and, where necessary, recalibrated after installation.

The temperature should be measured using suitable temperature-measuring equipment after the straighteners have reached a stable operating temperature.

On compatible control boards, temperature adjustment is made using the SVR1 variable resistor.

SVR1 is extremely sensitive and adjustments must be minuscule.

• Rotate SVR1 clockwise to increase the operating temperature.
• Rotate SVR1 anticlockwise to decrease the operating temperature.
• Make only a very small movement at a time.
• Allow the straighteners to stabilise after every adjustment.
• Measure the plate temperature again before making any further adjustment.

Incorrect adjustment can cause a substantial change in operating temperature.

Installation

These are internal electrical repair components and installation requires the hair straighteners to be dismantled and the heaters soldered into the appliance.

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before beginning any repair.

Installation and subsequent temperature calibration should only be carried out by somebody competent in electrical appliance repair.

We recommend replacing heater elements as a pair rather than mixing different heater types or resistances.
