A George IV sterling silver gilt vinaigrette, with quatrefoil engraved decoration to lid and cross hatch design to base, with pierced hinged grill and corner suspension loop. Hallmarked Birmingham, 1827 by maker Ledsam & Vale. Hinged lid working with with slightly loose hinge, inner grill hinge better and closes tightly. Some light dents and wear overall, some heavier wear to gilt exterior. 2.2cm x 1.7cm.
