Antique Baroque Hand-Carved Walnut Wood Nude Female Figure – 18th/19th Century – Austrian or German –
Beautiful antique hand-carved solid walnut wood sculpture depicting a standing nude female figure in the Baroque tradition. This finely executed carving was most likely created in Austria or Germany during the late 18th to early 19th century and originally served as an ornamental furniture mount or architectural decoration.
The figure is carved from an exceptionally dense and heavy piece of walnut with outstanding attention to anatomical detail and elegant flowing lines. The wood has developed a rich, very dark natural patina over the centuries. Please note that several of the photographs have been digitally brightened to reveal the fine carving details—the actual color is noticeably darker.
A highly decorative and authentic antique wood carving, ideal for collectors of Baroque art, architectural antiques, or period furniture.
The figure is fitted with a wooden dowel at the base, allowing it to be mounted onto a display stand if desired. The stand can be permanently glued for a secure installation or left unglued, making it easy to remove or replace.
