It is a collectible item, often considered a reproduction of classic tin toys and intended for adult collectors rather than as a children's plaything. The toy is primarily made of tinplate material with the exception of the rubber tires. 

When wound with a key, the duck pedals the tricycle and the propeller on its hat spins.
