This is a novelty portrait bust of Abraham Lincoln made from macerated U.S. currency bank notes, taken out of circulation and destroyed by the U.S. Treasury. Sold as a souvenir circa 1890s. The text is faded and hard to read but originally read:

“LINCOLN

MADE FROM OLD AND WORN OUT PAPER MONEY.

DESTROYED AT THE U.S. TREASURY THIS FIGURE

HAS AN ESTIMATED VALUE IN OLD BILLS OF $1,000.00.Washington, D. C.”

Measures 3.5” x 6.25” on card. One corner of card missing at tip, lettering faded.
