Today, Wallace Silversmiths is a leading designer and manufacturer of beautiful sterling silver and stainless steel flatware, hollowware and picture frames.

WALLACE AMERICAN TRADITION DELUXE SET:
From time to time, Wallace would produce "DELUXE" sets of their silverware. These were extraordinarily elaborate, considering some were stainless steel sets. The Deluxe sets included all the larger place pieces of the "BEST" sets and all 15 of the serving pieces, plus a cheese pick and cleaver. At various times they added an additional set of 12 teaspoons or salad forks. To join the place pieces they would add sets of 12 ice tea (ice cream soda) spoons and 12 olive, pickle, cocktail or oyster forks. (Whatever you call them?) Then they added additional table amenities, 12 napkin rings, 12 place card holders, 12 pr. of individual salt & pepper shakers and a pair of matching candle holders. The caddy was designed to fit inside a drawer. To set your table you needn't reach into a drawer and grab handfuls of pieces and toss them into a pot or bucket to take them to set the table. Instead, you lifted the entire caddy out of the drawer and took the entire lot to the table to prepare the table.
This auction is for a very handy "Drawer to Table" silverware drawer organizer and carrying tray from Wallace Silversmiths. It is designed to fit into your silverware drawer and has divided compartments for each type of flatware. When setting your table, instead of grabbing bunches of each type of flatware, you simply grab the whole caddy by its handy handle and carry the whole lot to the table to set your table. This caddy was part of a Wallace American Tradition pattern set. However!! It was also included in many other Wallace patterns deluxe sets.
15.5" X 11" X 3" A caddy like this was only found in the "Deluxe" sets of Wallace silverware. It was not available even as an "open stock" item. It is all wood construction and has six compartments for your various flatware pieces and measures 15.5" x 11" x 3". It fits easily into most any silverware drawer.

RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
No returns allowed unless item is not as described. I will accept returns with a valid reason. (This doesn't include change of mind!) Item must be returned in original condition (within 7 days of receipt), un-damaged. Buyer to pay return postage. (Recorded Advisable) Refund will not include postage paid to deliver the item. Refund will be made once item is received back.
Mechanical device disclaimer: Every mechanical device has a certain life span. The day it leaves the factory it becomes one day closer to its end date. When I find these devices, I plug them in, wind them up or put in a battery. If they buzz, whirr or seem like they're doing what they are supposed to be doing, I keep them for auction. At that point in time, I have NO IDEA of how old or how much use they have incurred. They may last a lifetime or fail the next time they are turned on. Therefore, I sell these as "Decorative or Ornamental purposes" only, not functional. Which may be referred to as "AS IS".
