On the right side of the note is a seated woman (Hope) with an anchor and a palm tree. In the lower left corner of the note is a drawing of Alexander Stephens, Vice- President of the Confederate States. This note was printed with black ink.

At the center of the bill is a woman seated next to a beehive, cherub, and the number 20. The lower-left corner is a picture of Alexander Stephens. To the right is a standing woman and an anchor with a palm tree in the background. There are letter “XX” in the bottom right corner signifying the denomination of $20 bills for this confederate note.
