You must set the dipswitches on this remote to match the receiver inside your fan, or mirror the settings of your old remote. Pro Tip: To avoid climbing a ladder, simply test all 16 dip switch combinations until the fan responds.
Please ensure you use a fresh battery. An old battery may work in your previous remote but lacks the power required for this new unit. A solid red light on the remote indicates a low battery; if the battery is low, the remote will not function.
