Original circa late 1950s–early 1960s Hazelle’s Popular Marionette No. 803, named “Bird Dog” on the original box. This characterful American-made dog puppet retains its painted head, black and white patterned fabric body, articulated legs, tail, wooden airplane-control components and distinctive period display packaging.
The original control components and strings remain present, although the strings are currently tangled and the wooden control requires careful reassembly and adjustment before operation. An unusual and appealing animal marionette suitable for a vintage puppet collection, period toy display or sympathetic restoration.
