Cheltenham Sable caravan, believed to be the 1968 model. FULL RESTORATION PROJECT.
We bought this caravan around 6 years ago and began a sympathetic restoration, including cutting out and replacing a rotten section of the front chassis. This was fully completed by a trained mechanic and the caravan has been towed since this work has been completed.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, the project wasn't taken any further. The interior had already been partially stripped out when we purchased the caravan, but original features and layout remain to guide an accurate restoration.
Exterior shows age-related wear and will require work. A solid base for a classic caravan enthusiast.
Included in the sale is a comprehensive file of documentation, original manuals, technical sheets, supplier details, receipts, Owners' Club magazines, and period reference material, which will be invaluable for anyone wishing to restore and maintain provenance.
It had brand new tyres fitted approx 4yrs ago and was last towed about 3 years ago. It has been stationary on hard standing since. From looking at the underside of the caravan and the tyers it looks to be ok to tow. Please note, you will need a light board for towing.
Sold as seen. Collection only Haselbury Plucknett, Crewkerne.
