This is a highly functional chest that could be used for a variety of storage purposes. It could be stripped back to the bare wood and be refinished if you don't want the aged patina look of the box.
The box has two sturdy metal handles and a sliding lid. The lid was a little 'sticky' and so I applied some wax to help it open and close more smoothly.
A good box that has clearly been used. The box could be refinished as can be seen in the pictures. There is a lock but I don't have a key. There is a small bit of damage to the start of the lefthand slide (shown in the last picture).
