This antique French pilgrim souvenir rosary dates to around the late1800s/early 1900s and it is made of large hand carved wooden beads and a heart shaped spacer engraved with Mere de Dieu Protegez Nous that leads to a wooden cross with a brass figure of Christ. The brass corpus figure of Jesus is damaged with missing lower limbs as shown in the photos and revolving video.The back of the cross is stamped with Souvenir de Notre Dame de Montligeon a shrine in Normandy which is the world center of prayer for deceased loved ones and souls in Purgatory. The cross measures 9.5cm x 5cm, the total length including the cross is 106cm and weight is 159g.
