The Renault Estafette appeared in 1959 and was Renault's first commercial vehicle with front-wheel drive. Its concept with a flat loading area, four independent wheel suspensions, side sliding door and three-wing rear door made it a very independent and practical transporter of its time. It is precisely this technical design that clearly sets the vehicle apart from many classic delivery vans of its era.

As a model, the Estafette offers a lot of variety in construction, as two years of construction can be represented and several body positions are possible. Open or closed doors as well as an open or closed tailgate give the finished model additional scope for an individual presentation.
